the 4 first

It was a very early February morning on the Island of the Gods,
and neither the sun nor us warriors had quite woken up yet.
We got out of the car, carrying morning coffee, cameras & kimonos,
and were greeted by the guardians of the animals taken care of,
on this magical location we had just arrived at. 

As the bali sun yawned and slowly spread its warm fingers
and stroked the jungle, we all had shivers of delight,
from the unmistakable &  awe-inspiring sound of the lions roaring,
as we walked under palm trees and on a high of happiness,
to meet Adële, the elephant; our model of the day.

Then we all fell in love.

This huge & graceful animal, with the most wise & kind eyes,
had us treading carefully around on bare feet, hearts wide open.
For Adële's guardian this is a story of the love of a lifetime;
their connection completely tangible in purity.
{In secret we were told by the others that, more often than not,
- he falls asleep and stays beside her during the night.}
It felt so good that he was the one to allow us to paint Adële,
in loving war paint of white dots {the fact it being face paint for
children sealing the deal} and that the entire air of the shoot was built on,
- & pervaded by, the fact that Adële's wellbeing, comfort & consent
was the only thing that really mattered, throughout.

It was a very early February morning on the Island of the Gods,
as we drove off, with souls and cameras full, inner & actual images
spilling over with love & humility, insights & looking forward to
adding a magic Adële, as an i am nõ 4, to a tribe so far consisting of 3,
shot earlier that winter, and already awaiting new members in
Warriors of the World, our new collection, launching.. now !
 

We’re real happy about the love you’ve already shown for this project,
~ & can’t wait to see which warrior whisper the loudest to your heart
and to see the collection grow,
as this, - this is only the beginning..
