dreams of snakes & sacred monkeys

we can still remember, with a murmur thru our hearts,
the lazy weekend mornings of our childhoods,
where our mothers & fathers would lounge around in
their kimonos and kaftans. it has a scent of coffee and the
morning paper, warm bread, to it. and we can still remember how
the ochre colored cotton kimonos would add up on the stone
wall hooks of that secret, old atrium bathhouse hidden
away in the forest. we can still remember the first ones we
bought ourselves, how the carefully selected patterns would flow
through our fingers and how they were worn and loved
to bits and pieces, until we reluctantly would let them go,
in one of all the moving clean-outs & moving ons.

as a garment it has stayed with us thru the years,
and some of the best snapshots of life flickering in our hearts,
those beautiful; at first seemingly small moments that stay on, ~ would
for some reason, almost always, contain this timeless & sensual
attire. perhaps its the falling to the floor without a sound.
perhaps its the feeling beautifully lazy in something that
has been worn by people for centuries;
whispering of lovingly detailed tea ceremonies
and focused, battling martial arts.

we love wearing ours for the secret nights, ~ and the
out in the open ones alike, for just us as for events. with nothing
but bare skin, ~ & all dressed up.
and we’re starting off our own little collection, launching this winter,
with showing you this; our dream of a snake kimono.
as we don’t want to work with snakeskin,
this is the dream residue of the spitting cobra & the snake cocktail
from our journey. woven in is all the memories & dreams,
the kimono-moments, ~ & a handmade little skull from bone.

.. so it’s kind of a full-circle-thing, being able to wear our
own design kimonos with murmurs of memories on the inside.
we can’t wait until they ship this winter
and we can share them with you lovelies.

already in love,

the warriors

a sacred soft-start

.. with a soft-start jump we’re now realizing our plans,
~ & are adding some ’fashion’ to the love warriors concept.
the laser cut leather is extended into a small, first collection of
shell accessories with necklaces {sneak peek in these images},
a re-stock of the shell bracelet you’ve been asking about
and finally, a first series of kimonos, one of our
favorite garments, in a love warrior way.

we’re enjoying the amazing company to be found here in
sacred monkey forest, making the final adjustments
to the kimonos, ~ & are, in general having a magic time.
we’ll be back with more sneak peeks of what we’re creating here,
both fashion, ~ & monkey business, in the days to come..

jump jump !
with love of course,

the warriors

the bali way

a designer, ~ & photographer greeting from bali.
having evening meetings at little restaurants tucked away
in narrow alleys; where magic opens up if only you dare stray and
paper lanterns are all that lights up designer sketches and blog-posts,
stunningly sheer rice fields and the kindest faces on earth.

enjoying the balinese rituals on any time of day,
~ & in every corner; offerings to the gods;
full of respect and seemingly in an own little world,
that you can feel nothing but so blessed just to
get to witness, along with your own, so much more
mundane morning rituals of brushing teeth & washing face.

taking morning walks where the path to get to
morning coffee and treasure hunting, is through the
sacred monkey forest, casts a spell on us every
single morning. this is the bali way of working and
the warriors never cease to fall in love,
over and over in this island of the gods and
their people; like none else on earth.

tomorrow part of the tribe is joining in,
~ & in another few days we’ll be completed as
the entire love warrior gang is re-united in bali, for
finding treasures to bring home, ~ & the continuation
of designing more of our own work in between the
rice fields; with dimmed lights, the best cocktails on earth
and a very special we-can’t-even-describe-it-ambiance
that we’ve only come across in bali;
where everything you’ve ever dreamed of
just seem to fall in to place.

perhaps it’s all the offerings to the gods.
perhaps it’s the pure goodness that just fills
this entire little place on earth up completely; from
the smiles that always reaches the eyes of the people
to that feeling of no one ever yelling or honking a car horn.

we’ll see you again, lovelies,
from a place on earth we’d love for everyone
to get to visit at least once in their life.

much love,

the warriors

in sweden autumn’s saying a lengthy goodbye to summer,
and we’ll be flying back it feels like; back almost in time;
to more of summer, more naked feet in the sand and
bare skin in the breeze. from the 7th of september until the
23rd we’ll be out of the love-war headquarters and we
apologize in advance for the delay in e-mail,
~ & order responses during this time.
we’re a tight little tribe, travelling all together.
we’re hoping to be able to take you along perhaps,
for some parts of the trip though..
