Adele and Ketut – Girl and Elephant

This is the story of Ketut, the 10-year-old daughter of a dear friend in Bali, and her dream of meeting an elephant. On a warm day beneath Bali’s sky, she met Adele — our beloved elephant and long-time member of the Love Warriors tribe.

At first, Ketut stood in awe, frightened by Adele’s grand presence. Sensing her fear, Adele lay down gently, as if to say, “You’re safe here.” Step by step, Ketut moved closer — feeding her carrots, building trust, and finally wrapping her arms around Adele’s trunk in a quiet moment of courage, connection, and grace.
