“Poppy Study No. 4” carries the quiet drama and tender melancholy of midsummer rituals. The artwork breathes with memory — fields trembling in the summer sun, and the people who stopped along the roadside, dressed for celebration, gathering poppies with more haste than reverence.

Cars pulling over, kicking up dust that blurred the view; bouquets swept into trunks as if the fragile flowers could tolerate the rush. And always, that familiar refrain from Hannah’s mother: They’ll be dead at home-coming.

Because poppies, for all their flame-soft beauty, are delicate beings — too tender, too fleeting, too soulful for hurried hands.

This piece holds that tension: loveliness and ache, ritual and ruin, the fragile wildness of something never meant to be contained. A Love Warriors homage to the ephemeral and the beautifully untamed.
