Sweetest Adele has been part of our tribe since we met for a photo shoot in Bali a few years ago.
Humans have not always been so kind to her. Adele were earlier one of many elephants used in the Asian tourist industry. Captured as an adolescent and put at hard work carrying tourists around. Her luck turned when rescued by a non-profit association and moved to a rescue centre. Sweetest Adele will remain there for the rest of her life since she’s too old to return to life in freedom. If there is anywhere an elephant can retire with dignity, this is the right place.
